I just wanted to say a big thank you for all those who have sent in well wishes for Jace. He is doing great, or as great as a full leg cast can keep you. My Mom and Dad have been extremely helpful taking Jace for walks, playing with him and keeping him occupied while I am tending to other necessities. This Thursday Jace goes in for another assessment on his progress and also to transition(hopefully) to a straight-leg cast. He will be able to walk on this one (like he doesn't try to do that already) so I think he will like that freedom. Your prayers have been wonderfully helpful, I know that they have kept Jace at peace during this very difficult time for him.
Thank You ALL!

Jensen Jace and it's a Crazy Place!
I cannot believe that Jensen's old enough to be this old. He celebrated his 18th birthday on the 30th of June. Crazy huh? I remember being 18, boy things have changed.
I had to go to work, I got a pretty opal ring from my parents. Jensen wanted music from itunes and vegged all day. (It's still summer vacation to him). I told him that once he graduated summer vacations went away too, but it is hard to find a job. Happy Birthday Big Guy!!
I am going to try and explain what happened to Jace and use some visual aids to help. Saturday evening around 8 o'clock Jason took Jace outside because he had been stuck in the house all day. Jason wanted to give Jace a try on the electric scooter that we have. (It used to belong to the "Big's" but now we thought that the "little's" would like to have them.) Anywho--Jace got on the thing and started to go-slow at first-while Jason was running along side him. All of the sudden Jace took off and kept going down our street laughing the whole way. Jason was yelling to him to slow down or stop, but soon realized that Jace wasn't going to do either.
We certainly appreciate everyones prayers and well wishes..Jace has some pretty awesome gardian angels.

Rogers have relocated....... AGAIN!
Well, I thought I would let everyone know that we have moved again. This time, however, it is to a place that we are familiar with. Jace was born here. That's right we are back in San Antonio. It has been 9 years since the last time we were here and things have changed a little. There are a lot more neighborhoods, for one. H.E.B. is still the only grocery store, but there are some H.E.B. plus stores to compete with the Super Wal-mart's and Super Target's. It's still hot and muggy in the summer. That was a nice shock to the system. (When we left Colorado Springs, on May 20th, it had snowed the day before). Crazy huh? Jason is going back to school, but this time it is to enter a fellowship program for P.A.'s to specialize in ENT (Ear Nose and Throat). His actual training begins in a week. All this time up until now he has been "in processing" what a headache. Some other changes is that all my children will be in school!! What will I do with the day, I haven't got a clue, OH YES I DO!!! Jensen also graduated, I can't believe that he is old enough to be this old. He will turn 18 here in a few days, and I am trying really hard at nagging him to get a job. He has been a big help with his brothers and sister, so I don't know how I will cope with that change.
Slowly but surely James and Jace are making the adjustment to their new home. James loves having his own room. It's like a museum, all of his Star Wars action figures and spaceships are on display and the rest of his room is organized and CLEAN! Now I just need him to keep his bathroom the same way and we're in business. I will include a few pictures so everyone can see some of our family updates.

This is Jensen and James retiring our Flag. It was given to Jason when he graduated OCS in June of 98.
This flag has been to Morroco, Afghanistan, Montana, South Carolina, Alabama, and a few other places that I can't think of right now. It has flown in many missions, and has flown over several places of honor. Montana National Guard Headquarters for one. We now have it on display in our home.
Jensen getting ready to graduate from Air Academy High School. May 19, 2011.
If you notice the boxes we had movers that day loading up our stuff so we could leave the next day. Such is the life of the military family. At least Jensen didn't miss his graduation.
Love to you all!!Back Again
Well it has been quite a while and so I thought that I would take the advice of my sister and start updating the blog.
Yesterday being Sunday, our family usually has the spiritual side of FHE because our children need to have things broken up. There has been some fun trivia about our prophets in the Ensign. So what I thought I would do is have a "game-show" type FHE about our Prophets. The June Ensign p. 72 is where you will find the most recent information. I went and found clip art for displaying the clues. (I already have printed out the pictures of the Prophets). Then I set it up in a multiple choice format. It was fun. Jason read the questions and it was neat to learn things about our church presidents that we didn't know before.
Here is an example. (I usually use my whiteboard). The clue is the flower lei. The question is this president of the Church was called on a mission to the Hawaiian Islands when he was 15 years old. Do you know the answer?
The Ensign Jan. issue has another bit of trivia about our Prophets, it's in the section Small and Simple Things.
It sure makes for some fun family time. Try it I think you will have fun.

JASON IS ON HIS WAY HOME!!!!!!!
There has been some crazy information about exactly when Jason was leaving, but it is for sure. Yesterday Jason called me, from anther base in Quandahar and said he was coming HOME. And this morning he called me from Kyrgyzstan so Jason is definitely out of the country. YEAH!!!! This is so exciting, because just a week ago he told me that there had been some "glitch" and that he wouldn't be able to leave until the 30th of December and that he probably wouldn't see us until January 10th. That made me eat about 4 hagendaags ice cream bars. NOW it's time for the treadmill and extra sit-ups (I know wishful thinking). I might see him in less than 5 days. Cross your fingers folks. Christmas miracles do happen for those who still believe. Grandpa Rogers and Uncle Boyd are going to try and fly up here and welcome Jason home with us, and I wanted to let everyone know that they are welcome to come as well. I will keep everyone posted who would like to try and come so just let me know.

It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like.......
We put our tree up a few weeks ago but I haven't had time to put up any pictures until now. This is the first time that I have actually had a tree that coordinated with my decor. I actually am impressed with this milestone in my life. We still have our other tree, the one with all our home-made decorations, it's downstairs in the "family room" The kids had a fun time decorating that one all by themselves. Jensen took care of our outdoor decorations as well. We didn't put lights on our house, we'll wait for Dad to do that next year.
By the way. Jason will be leaving his Base on the 18th or 19th. He won't be heading home just yet he gets to spend Christmas at some other big military installation. After Christmas sometime he will be leaving Afghanistan for good or bad, it depends on how you want to look at it. So don't send any packages to him anymore he won't get them. But thanks to all those who did, he really appreciated it.
